Our Lady & St. Edwards School Website

Our Lady and St. Edwards School Website Design

Our Lady and St. Edwards Academy is based in St. Anns Nottingham. We designed a content managed website for the academy with a resource area for parents and teachers to access useful documents.  The school also requested a gallery of images and a blog page that children could be involved with updating during class lessons. We created a fun style to the gallery and the school update this on a regular basis.

The school are very happy with their new website and we have had great feedback. Mrs Cannell said about the new site:

“HTML codes...programming...URL are definitely a foreign language to most primary school teachers, and so, when I was asked by my head to create a website for our school that could be managed by staff you can imagine my reaction! As a year 2 class teacher I’m proud when I’ve managed to upload an image…the prospect of creating and managing a website was overwhelming! Or so I thought!!
Thanks to DW design we now have ‘an outstanding’ (words of a local authority colleague not mine!!) which is easy to both manage and navigate! Now don’t get me wrong the task facing DW design was not an easy one. Though my computer skills are limited my ‘website’ ambition was not! They were faced with my list of design ideas alongside my expectation of what I wanted to be able to do with the website. However their friendly and supportive staff, not only met but far exceed my expectation. After a mere couple of weeks I was sat in the office with DW, looking at a very impressive website receiving comprehensive training, and an ‘idiot proof’ guide, as to how to manage it!
Today we have a fantastic (my words!!) website which is always current and provides a vital link between home and school. And, should there be anything we may need a hand with, we know DW are at the end of the phone/email ready to support us!
